TPS Lawyers in Arapahoe County, CO, Assisting Immigrants Every Step of the Way

If you or a loved one is facing deportation, it is vital to have an experienced TPS lawyer on your side. At McGuire Law, we understand the stress and anxiety that comes with this process. We are here to help you through every step of the way, ensuring that your rights are protected.

The U.S. government offers temporary protected status (TPS) to eligible individuals from certain countries who are unable to return to their home country safely due to conditions such as armed conflict or natural disasters. If you have been granted TPS, you may be eligible for work authorization and can live and work in the United States for a designated period of time.

Once your TPS status has been terminated, you will be expected to leave the United States and return to your home country. If you do not leave voluntarily, you may be subject to removal (deportation) proceedings.

If you are facing removal proceedings, it is important to have an experienced TPS lawyer on your side. At McGuire Law, we have successfully represented many clients in TPS cases. We will work tirelessly to help you with your case.

Get in contact with our experienced family law immigration lawyers today at (720) 922-2988 to learn more about your options.

Am I Eligible for TPS?

You may be eligible for TPS if you meet all of the following requirements:

– You are a national of a country designated for TPS

– You have continuously resided in the United States since the effective date for your country’s TPS designation

– You have been physically present in the United States since the date specified for your country

– You have not been convicted of any felony or two or more misdemeanors committed in the United States

– You do not pose a threat to the security or welfare of the United States

If you meet all of the above requirements, you can apply for TPS by filing form I-821, Application for Temporary Protected Status. Our experienced TPS lawyers can help you with this process.

What Happens if My TPS Status is Terminated?

If your TPS status is terminated, you will be expected to leave the United States and return to your home country. If you do not leave voluntarily, you may be subject to removal (deportation) proceedings.

TPS status can be terminated for a number of reasons, including but not limited to the following:

  • Failing to renew your status on time
  • Engaging in criminal activity
  • Having an expired visa
  • Being unable to prove that you meet the eligibility requirements

If your TPS status is terminated, it’s important to consult with an immigration lawyer as soon as possible. We will be able to advise you on your options and help you plan a course of action. It’s important to note that TPS is not a permanent immigration status and can be terminated at any time. Therefore, it’s important to consult with an immigration lawyer if you have any questions or concerns about your TPS status. If you are facing removal proceedings, it is important to have an experienced TPS lawyer on your side.

Why Should I Hire a TPS Lawyer?

If you are seeking asylum in the United States or have been granted Temporary Protected Status (TPS), it is important to consult with an experienced immigration lawyer. TPS lawyers can help you navigate the complex process of applying for asylum or TPS and can also provide guidance on how to maintain your status once it has been granted.

There are many benefits to hiring a TPS lawyer. Perhaps most importantly, a lawyer can help ensure that you meet all of the eligibility requirements for TPS or asylum. We can also help you gather the necessary documentation to support your claim and can represent you in court if necessary.
